I agree with your view point. This term is used widely by all lalkitab astrologers. I have another opinion about this term. In my view, in Dharmi Teva, the behavior of planets remains the same as it would be in a normal horoscope.
The only difference may be there with regards to the application of remedial measures. In addition, natural help will always be there for native himself.
In the given example of Maharishi's life, at his 13th year of age his father died & Mother died at when he was 42.
He himself lived for 70 years.
Therefore as far as the native himself is concerned the behaviour of planets may have acted in favor of him, but for his relatives the effect of planets did not changed.
