thanks for mentioning the exact words from the book.but if that loohey a taala in use ho to bhi uske effects same honge.Because sometimes its mentioned that we should not keep such things in house without use.

secondly as per my understanding(which might be wrong) when saturn is
in ketu's house(6th) we should keep leather(saturn) away from feet
(ketu) i guess the sole made of rubber would not make much difference
if there is leather in the shoe(which would touch the feet) please
kindly guide me if i am wrong.

also while on this topic i would like clarify one more query that,
why are we told/asked not to buy any iron on saturday, what's the
rationale behind it?? is it too related to saturn no.6??
