[astrostudents] Re: Remedy clarification for Ven- Rahu combination in 12th House

Dear Naresh Ji

I have a different opinion.

It is Mercury that represents the plant world in general & specifically flower. Venus has closer relations with fruits if we wish to stick to the plant world. The colour blue represents Rahu (the blue sky for example which also is referred to as Rahu). Refer to "Ashiyan" or significators of planets/ houses between Pages 994 & 1018; Lal Kitab 1952 edition).

Now let us look at relationships between these three planets.

Mercury is a friend to both Venus & Rahu. Similarly, Rahu is a friend to Mercury. Also, Venus is a friend to Mercury.

Seeing this two way relationship, Mercury is the only planet which enjoys friendship with both Rahu & Venus who are enemies to each other. It is because of this that flower (Mercury) has the sole distinction of coming in between two enemies & seperating the malefic effect of Rahu in the 12th from Venus which is otherwise a benefic & exalted, as per Lal Kitab. Otherwise we could have had another object in place of a flower. The colour blue makes it clearly an object of Rahu. Any other blue object would not have fitted the purpose of this remedy.

The "mitti me dabaate rehena" is a burial process. It is specifically designed to put to rest (as if this effect is dead!) the malefic effects of Rahu in the 12th house as well as a conjunct planet with Venus which causes the effects of Venus to weaken. This is mentioned in the Lal Kitab clearly (Page 426 & 427; 1952 edition).

The above views are based on what I could best understand from my reading of the Lal Kitab.

I await your views & the views of other learned scholars on this issue.

Best regards

Harinder
